About Genesis Center North Texas

Genesis Center North Texas is a non-profit organization committed to providing immediate safety and shelter, along with victim care services, for women who have suffered from drug and alcohol abuse, domestic violence and homelessness. The center was founded with the vision of collaborating with the area resources already in existence in helping rebuild and transform lives that are truly broken. It is a place of refuge for those in need. The Center offers individual counseling and assistance making and achieving goals, shelter, resources for daily needs, classes for parenting, domestic violence, substance abuse, anger management, life skills and GED preparation, job services, medical referrals, and spiritual mentoring.

We are a long-term facility where residents may stay up to a year and are not exclusive to the areas they are located in. Our services are available to all surrounding communities and throughout the state.

The focus of the center is both physical and spiritual. We believe with this approach women are able to progress in putting their lives back on track. Clients are empowered to make their own choices and are shown options for creating a new life for themselves and their children.

Our phone line is available 24/7

What our graduates say

The Genesis Center has meant love, restoration, and second chances. I have learned my worth as a daughter of the King. It means I can be a mother to my son, a mother that can teach him the love of Jesus. It means saving lives, not only my life but more important, my eternity.
D.
This place is like family. I’ve been wanting sobriety in my life and just needed a good home environment. I am learning to stand on my own two feet.

M.
Through 25 plus years of drug and alcohol addiction, childhood molestation, prostitution, and anything and everything you can imagine: the Genesis Center taught me how to have a relationship with the Lord which allowed Him to deliver me from my addiction, heal my childhood abuse and forgive and overcome my past.
S.
The Genesis Center changed my life. Without this place I would probably be dead. Genesis has given me a home and food at no cost so that I could heal and learn a new way to live the rest of my life. rest of my life.

How can you help

Supplies

March and April have been challenging months when it comes to keeping paper products in stock. Genesis needs toilet paper and paper towels. If you have the desire, please consider donating any day of the week. We appreciate your willingness.

Volunteering

Any time you can spare to help in our donation center, thrift store or resident center would be greatly appreciated.

Vehicles

We need good, used cars for our graduating ladies and any cars, trucks, motorcycles or recreational vehicles to sell to support our program.

House Needs

We currently are asking for any donations of ibuprofen and allergy medications. We also can use bath towels, hand towels, and bathroom rug mats.

Thank You

We try to utilize all resources. No gift is too small and your generosity is greatly appreciated. If you can donate any of these items, please stop by any day and notify the front office at (972) 932-4351 of your arrival. For Vehicle donations, please ask for Amanda Lewis, Executive Director, through the same phone number. Thank you, in advance, for your generosity!

Additional Opportunities to Give

Contact us about planned giving, wills, estate planning and gifts. Donate your used car, truck, trailer or recreational vehicle.

Almost all our ladies have need of good, reliable transportation when they graduate from our program and your donation of a good, used truck or car will help them to start their new lives.

We also have need of a large van or bus for transportation and a trailer to assist in picking up large donations.

Thank you for considering a donation.
